Hi everyone!
Long time, no see. Sorry for not updating lately, I've been pretty busy preparing for my vacation this Saturday. Today I decided to switch it up and do a review on an Etude House product. But anyway, this is a review on Etude House's Color Pop Dear My Lips Talk in OR220.
(OR220) |
The packaging of this product is really cute, like all Etude House products. The the lipstick cap has tiny sparkly particles that reflect in the light. The orange bow also is a nice touch and adds a pop of color to the packaging.
I was really excited to test this out when I bought this. Mostly because I love Etude House's lipsticks. As well as because I was curious at what the color would look like since this is my first orange lipstick from their brand. Since this is an older collection, the reviews of this product are a little rare, at least from what I've seen so far. Plus if you look at the pictures that Etude House posted for this, the lipstick swatches look highly saturated and edited. Once again since this collection is older, it was no surprise that there barely any colors left. If I remember I think there were only about 2 other colors left.

This lipstick I'm pretty sure is most likely expired, so unfortunately I don't use it that much. But since it expired I'm guessing why the quality of the product isn't as good. It's not that bad, don't get me wrong, but on the box it says it has a 'moist shine' sorry if you hate that word in which for me it isn't as noticeable. However, the texture of the product is very smooth, and the color is just as vibrant as it looks in the tube.

It easily transferred onto everything, so be careful. I accidentally brushed my lip and then saw that my finger was covered in lipstick. (.___. ) Also, I always seem to have a split lip, and this lipstick slightly covered it as well as my lip scars. I do wish that there was more product in the tube, I had no idea that the lipstick would be this tiny. It is about 3 1/2 inches (estimate). So I mean at least it's travel friendly?
On the other hand it did start to fade after I ate about an hour into wearing the lipstick, so I'd have to bring it with me for touch ups. I also noticed that after a while it settled into the cracks of my lips. All in all this lipstick was just too much work for me so I took it off around the 2hr mark. (to be exact 2 hrs and 8 minutes)

In the pictures it looks almost reddish in the tube, but when you swatch it, its almost like MAC's Morange, only slightly darker. Below I put a swatch on my wrist as well as on my lips. I added concealer and a lip gloss to make it a gradient lip. ignore my weird blonde hairs please... I should just wax those. I would've done a full lip, but although lipsticks are my favorite type of makeup, and due to the fact that my lips are awkwardly uneven, they just look horribly messy on me. Unless it's a MLBB (my lip but better) shade. So yes don't feel bad if your lip makeup looks bad because its most likely 100x better than what mine will ever look like.

So this wasn't my absolute favorite Etude House lipstick, but I will continue to wear it just to use it up. (I don't want it to go to waste) I hope you liked this review, I know this is an old product but I was just curious to test it out. Feel free to come back and see more of my reviews!
